British-German jazz hop supergroup Syrup consisting of Twit One (producer), Turt of Summers Son (rapper) and C.Tappin (vocals & keys) return with their latest breathtaking single “Breathe” on Melting Pot Records. This offering is definitely one of my favourite releases of 2023 up until now which is saying a lot as the quality of the music this year has been 10/10 so far! On “Breathe”, Turt rhymes with both introspection and eloquence, as he reflects on his struggles with letting go, dealing with stress, and all of his past experiences that have shaped his life up until now. Berlin-based producer Twit One provides the effortless vibes on the laid-back instrumental, and C.Tappin’s unique vocals and keynotes are the icing on the cake that propel the track to the next level!
The iconic Hip-Hop Group with unmistakable leanings towards Soul And Jazz share a friendship and musical partnership based on similar musical tastes and live values, and you can really hear that in their raw & authentic sound! Their first album ‘Rosy Lee’ was released in 2020 on melting pot records, and was a masterpiece from beginning to end. This summer Syrup will finally share their second full-length project with the world, and we cannot wait!
