Natty Reeves - ‘Our Time’ Out Now
Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Natty Reeves just dropped his new 7-track album ‘Our Time’ on all major streaming platforms. The project is Natty Reeves' second studio album and features an array of talented UK-based jazz musicians ranging from Jackson Mathod, Charlie Allen, Poppy Daniels, Ben Vize, Matt Wilde, and even Dutch instrumentalist Marnix de Haus. After taking a hiatus from producing and writing after the release of his groundbreaking debut album ‘Condition’, Natty Reeves returns with a fresh style and newfound appetite for growth. ‘Our Time’ showcases Natty’s new approach to music, as he leans more towards a further developed instrumental-focused sound. The album opener “5:23am” is a fruitful blend of Natty’s signature texture of melodies, groove-heavy drums, and Marnix De Haus’ highly appetizing piano chords. The second single from the album “Our Time”, sets up for the remainder of the project beautifully, as Charlie Allen and Jackson Mathod deliver vibrant melodies, enchanting guitar tones, and hard-hitting horns to perfection. Natty Reeves introduces rising UK trumpeter Poppy Daniels perfectly on “Snakes In The Grass” who presents flavorsome horns over Natty’s intricate guitar riffs and iconic production.
All-in-all, ‘Our Time’ is an incredibly well-put-together body of work, which perfectly exhibits Natty’s versatility and skills as an artist. This project excellently portrays what the Brighton-based musician has to offer, and we’re very excited to see what Natty Reeves decides to do with his talents heading into the future!
