Dutch South-African singer-songwriter Joya Mooi pays homage to those who have fought injustice on her latest release “Most Frail”. The harmonic track’s co-produced by SIROJ and BLAZEHOVEN, and is now available to stream on all major music platforms (including Spotify & Apple Music). Be sure to check “Most Frail” out below:

Joya Mooi continues her fine run of modern RnB releases with this groundbreaking single. SIROJ and BLAZEHOVEN’s mellow, calming production emphasises the tracks sentimental value, whilst Joya Mooi’s heavenly vocals provide a fitting sense of calm and reflection. “Most Frail” is inspired by Joya’s father, who was exiled from South Africa due to the Apartheid regime. Joya Mooi melodically ponders on lost stories of the revolutionaries who previously fought for liberation, addressing the saddening legacy of how freedom fighters can so often become forgotten. The whole vibe of this release makes me incredibly excited about all of Joya’s future music, and I’m particularly looking forward to the rising vocalist’s next project!

Speaking on “Most Frail” Joya Mooi explains: "Inspired by the life work of my father, I wanted to write about what the mind and soul does to people who’ve fought against injustice. My father was a political activist, in exile for years. Freedom fighters are sometimes put on pedestals but are mostly forgotten. And the ones who’ve survived, that came back, I believe they have never fully returned. Most Frail is about all the stories we’ve lost - through them - in the wake of liberation.”
