Jerames - “With You” Out Now
The multi-talented duo Jerames just dropped their debut single “With You” on all major streaming platforms, and it is a whole ‘nother vibe. Jeremy and James are two London-based session musicians who met whilst playing together back in 2017. They immediately formed a strong bond through their mutual love of Neo-Soul, Latin, Hip Hop, and Afrobeats, which led them to form supergroup Jerames. Be sure to check “With You” out below:
“With You” is a bouncy, eclectic summer soundtrack drawing influences from a wide range of genres varying from Hip Hop, RnB, Pop, and Jazz. As soon as we stumbled across this track on Instagram (big ups Saxophonist Lewis Daniel for putting us onto this one) it instantly grabbed our attention and we immediately knew we wanted to feature this summer banger. From the melodic vocal chops and upbeat piano chords all the way to the rhythmic hard-hitting drums this track really has it all, so we’re super excited about the duo’s progression going forward!
Here are some words from the multi-talented pianist, guitarist, and vocalist James in relation to the debut release:
“We started working on the track over video about a year ago during lockdown whilst Jeremy was touring internationally. We weren’t exactly sure what sound we were going for at the time, so we decided to meet up for a face-to-face music session to help get the creative juices flowing. That’s when it all came together! The two key inspirations behind the track comes from one of our favorite producers Lophiile, and the multi-talented instrumentalist FKJ”. For the next few releases, we’ll be experimenting with different sounds and styles, as we’re still in the discovery phase of our musical journey, but be sure to stay posted as we’re really excited about everything coming your way!”.
The duo’s second release will be a Latin-inspired song featuring talented vocalist Louisa Santiago, and the duo also have a remix with The Biscuit Horns in the works, so be sure to keep your eyes out for these dope releases!
